About
Our story
Born from Grit and Real Needs.
McBurney Livestock Equipment wasn’t hatched in a boardroom—it kicked off around the farm gate, where Chris McBurney spent his days watching how the right tools or the wrong ones could make or break a morning in the pens. He noticed how farmers and ranchers were stuck between gear that didn’t hold up and equipment that stressed livestock—and wallets. So he stepped in, sourcing only the gear he’d trust on his own place.
Chris knew what worked—and what didn’t. Growing up with one foot in the creak-bottom pens and the other on tractor pedals, he built relationships with trusted brands. What started as helping his neighbors find better panels, gates, feeders, and chutes turned into something bigger—and quieter.
These days, McBurney Livestock Equipment is more than a place to buy gear—it’s a place where folks know your name, understand your work, and care about getting you the right tools for the job. Whether you’re picking up one gate or outfitting a whole set of pens, you can count on honest advice and equipment that’s up to the task.
McBurney Livestock brings that same personal knowing to every shelf. We don’t churn out gear—we gather the stuff that stands up to your daily grind and makes life easier for both you and your animals. No fluff. Just the real cuts you can rely on.
Because we didn’t start in a showroom. We started in the workings of a working day—and that keeps us honest about what really matters: making your life smoother.
Philosophy
We keep it simple—sell the right equipment, treat people right, and stand by our word. At McBurney Livestock Equipment, we believe good gear should make your day easier, keep your livestock calm, and last for the long haul.
We choose products the same way a stockman picks cattle—sharp eye for quality, no tolerance for flimsy work, and always thinking long-term. Every panel, gate, and chute we sell is something we’d trust in our own pens. We partner with brands that share our standards for durability and animal comfort, making sure you get tools that hold up to everyday use. Whether you’re outfitting a new facility or replacing a single piece of gear, you can count on us to guide you toward the best fit for your needs and budget.
We listen first, recommend second, and always back what we sell. Because in this business, your word matters—and we plan to keep ours.
